Project description
At first glance, the elements of a snail, a sitar, and the sea may seem worlds apart, but together, they form the heart and soul of this home. Designed for a family of three—a merchant navy officer, his sitarist wife, and their young child—this house embodies their desire for warmth, intimacy and connection, despite the long months of separation. It is a place where time seems to slow down, wrapping its inhabitants in a shell of comfort, much like the creature that lends the house its name.
Open-plan kitchen with sleek cabinetry, suspended shelving, and large glazing connecting to stone-clad courtyard featuring illuminated sculpture and textured walls.
Minimalist living space with large sectional sofa, framed artwork, floor-to-ceiling windows, and direct garden access for abundant daylight and greenery.
Curved timber cladding enveloping skylight opening, creating organic geometry and warm texture while guiding natural light into the architectural void
Modern facade with sweeping cantilever curve, vertical timber cladding, recessed lighting, glass balcony railing, and landscaped forecourt emphasizing fluid contemporary form.
Elegant curved staircase in warm wood finish, integrated LED wall lighting, and continuous flowing form enhancing vertical circulation with sculptural quality.
